This Week With Rachel

Hi

Here we are again, another week flown by. Our email transition is nearly done so you might receive another email from me on my old provider but that will be about it. Thanks for your patience.

Have you seen the new movie, 'the King's Speech?' Well it's amazing. Go see it now, run don't walk if you want an inspiring day out. We went at the special request of our 12 year old. Take heart parents; yes at some point you can watch 'real' films with your kids without waiting for them to go to bed!

We bought our tickets in advance but turned up after the trailers began. That's so us; we hate to wait. As a result we were fortunate to get a seat right at the front but I recommend you turn up early cause even after weeks of showing it's still packed.  No one else seemed to be noshing on popcorn but us; don't know if it's due to the recession but have you noticed how noisy popcorn eating can be when everyone around you is sitting in silence?!

This week I discovered a new lactose free cheese and had almost real cheese on toast for the first time in months. Yum; I'm such a dairy queen, I nearly fainted in delight. Don't know how long I can last without cheddar in my life but at least I have a reasonable replacement for now.

Interesting developments in my Prosperty Project

As I was clearing out the kitchen the other day, I found my DVDs of the Secret and a recording of the fabulous Secret Interview by Oprah. I'd been looking for these EVERYWHERE except in the right place, so the power of the prosperity vacuum (clearing out your mess) struck again.

The interview is fascinating; especially if you love Oprah. She listened carefully to all the Secret teachers  sharing their profound insights, and instantly turned them into bite size chunks of info that everyone can understand. I can see why she's such a star. Find it online if you can.

For Valentine's Day my hubbie gave me some cash. What can I tell you? He knows the way to this woman's heart.  After 20 years together you can't beat a cash bonus! I treated myself to a gorgeous Moleskine planner which has been on my prosperity list for a while now.

I have a list of things that I want to do or buy, that in some way signify prosperity for me or test my prosperity. The is definitely the most expensive diary I've ever bought and it was worth every penny.  You pay for the quality, but also to experience the romantic tradition of Moleskin journals used by Van Gogh and other artists. I feel like  more of an artist just by writing in it. Cool hey?

It's now been almost 8 months since I launched my prosperity project and although I'm not a millionaire yet, I'm definitely more prosperous in every way.

I feel more in control of my life and have less fearful and lack based thoughts. When they come I have the power to wipe them away so they don't control my decisions any more.

It's all in how we think and the best way to reprogram your mind so you think positive thoughts instead of stinky ones, is to read or listen to something prosperous every day. Doesn't mean it needs to be about money; prosperity is about living the best life you can in every way.

For my project I've studied many old texts and books and listened to inspiring audios,  by the great prosperity teachers such as Catherine Ponder, Charles Filmore, Esther Hicks, Bob Proctor, Randy Gage and Joe Vitale. There are too many to mention here as I've devoured so much material each morning, but the one who has had the biggest impact on me during my project has to be Joe Vitale.

If you haven't been introduced to Joe Vitale yet you're in for such a treat. They call him the Buddha of the internet and I tell you, that man makes me cry. In a good way that brings up emotion and helps me to get clear. He's one of the Secret teachers too actually.

Anyway if you're in need of more prosperity in your life and want to know how to attract more of all the good stuff, Joe is your guy. I've studied tons of his stuff and it's all uplifting, inspiring and real. He used to be homeless so he really knows what he's talking about. No matter how bad your situation is I bet you can't beat that.

Check him out here. If you're looking for some breakthroughs this audio will turn your world around:

Getting the Right Mindset to Become an Expert in Your Niche

So who are you to become an expert?  You might have read my special report about becoming an expert in your niche and it makes sense to you, but you're not sure how it applies specifically to you. I mean, you're not an expert, are you?

Whatever your occupation, if you practice it each day, you are most likely already an expert or are on your way to becoming one.  It's impossible to do something each day and not get more skilled and efficient at it.

So are you ready to stand out from the crowd online and attract more of the right clients, customers and opportunities to you?

If so then it's essential for your success that you banish any thoughts of 'who am I to become an expert?' Replace them by recognising that you already are one and take the steps to position yourself as an expert so that the right people find you easily, both on and offline.

This is the way for you to quickly reach the top of your profession and release any fears you have about competition in your field.

Most of your 'competitors' are marketing their services in very broad terms. They might be a plumber who fixes everything to do with plumbing, or a copywriter who takes any writing job offered. They could be a life coach who coaches everyone; after all life is a big topic!

This is a way to earn a living and you might survive, marketing this way, but you're unlikely to thrive. This failing economy is weeding out the weak, and only those who offer high value and deliver on their big promises will prosper.

Before you can deliver on your promises you need to make some. So what are yours? It's difficult to define attention grabbing promises when you market to everyone and take on every client or job.

Once you begin to focus in on a specific niche within your generic field, it will be ten times easier for you to create an innovative marketing campaign that grabs your ideal client's attention.

So a smart plumber could fix everything, but decides to focus on installation for large renovation projects.  He could promise to provide a quote within 24 hours and commit to stick to that price. Of course this would need to be something that makes sense and I don't know much about plumbing but I think you get the point.

This is much more likely to attract a client with money to invest in a large renovation project. The client is more likely to respond to that message, rather than giving the business to an odd job plumber who fixes everything, gives no quotes and makes no exciting promises.

How could it work for the copywriter? A copywriter could take a close look at which type of work she enjoys the most and which industry or type of client she most likes to work with. By crafting a compelling marketing message and promise around that, she'll be able to attract more of the projects that she wants and charge more for them because she offers a specialised service.

A life coach can do the same. Perhaps they have a strong foundation in several topics but there may be one or two which they enjoy coaching on more than the others. Let's say they enjoy relationship coaching for women over 40s; they could tailor their marketing message and materials to target this niche.

They know what type of service to offer and have identified their target market. Do you see how they are so much more likely to attract the attention of women over 40 who want to develop better relationships, when they have a focussed message that speaks directly to each woman?

It's much more challenging to commit to big promises and to create compelling marketing messages when you're after everyone.

So by now I hope you can see why it's so important to start to position yourself as an expert in your niche.  Start recognising that you are an expert, and make a list of the special knowledge and experience that you have.  Then all you need to do is figure out your best niche and begin to put your marketing funnel in place.  It could be worth a fortune to you this year.

I'd love to hear your comments or questions so please email me yours and share this article with your friends if you think it will help them.
