Hi
Sitting in my pjs writing this. That's what I especially love about the 'any location' business model. Anytime, any place, anywhere ... (and looking any how!)
The creative flow strikes and all you need to do is power up your trusty laptop to share your good stuff with thousands of your 'perfect who.'
Am I dreaming - can you pinch me? That's how big your opportunity is to 'do your thing' right now so I'm gently prodding you to run with it. (Just in case you need someone to remind you)
Don't hold back and don't let fear stop you.
I was chatting with one of my 'perfect who' yesterday in an 'any location biz model' session & he was diagnosed with the 'multiple niche disorder.' It resonated with him & made us both laugh so much I thought it might help you too.
The multiple niche disorder is a severe case of creative overflow & gushing but scattered inspiration.
Have you got too many ideas, too many projects, too many things you 'could do,' and too many possible 'niches?' (Hell, you're not even that sure what bit your niche is although this Rachel chick keeps talking about it!)
If you're groaning now then I'm sorry to say you've probably contracted a severe case of this disorder which is usually aggravated by heavy internet usage & over-exposure to too many gurus!
The good news is it's pretty easy to fix.
Personally I'd much rather have 'too many ideas' than not enough ideas so breathe deeply dear one. (All is well)
You're inspired and you're receiving universal downloads a-plenty but sometimes your pen and your mental software just can't keep up.
The result?
You get stuck & can't move left or right, up or down.
You're like a frustrated Windows user with too many browsers and windows open simultaneously.
Then a weird thing often happens; you lose your inspiration & deflate like an after party balloon.
You think to yourself, 'Where did that inspiration go? I'm sure I had it nailed there for a minute. It seemed like such a good idea at the time. If only I'd captured it.'
So it's back to square one.
Anyways, don't worry about it; just learn from it.
Next time get all your ideas down on paper - just scribble no matter what madness your pen brings forth. (Keep an ideas journal)
Then in another session (clear head needed) methodically go through your ideas and begin to pull them into a semblance of order.
What serves your 'perfect who?' & floats your boat at the same time?
What might they feel motivated enough to pay for?
What do you feel excited enough to implement?
Is this a problem people are searching for solutions to? (Use the beautiful google keyword tool)
Let's say you generally lead with: providing a healthy fast food solution to exhausted, overweight & time poor executives. (Very niche but possibly deep)
That's your main thing ok? But if you have a calling to be in multiple niches here's the best way I've found to do it.
Take the ideas from your 'universal download' session and see which of them can be offered next as a product or service to your time poor execs.
The time poor execs need lots of help!
So this is how you add in other things and heal yourself instantly of multiple niche disorder.
Today's challenge (if you feel like you're suffering from the multiple-niche disorder) is to get all your ideas down and then go through them to see which of them can be tailored to suit your 'perfect who.'
One project at a time baby. :)
Love and success
Rachel
