Practice What You Preach Versus Do, Not Just Teach?
Published: Wed, 07/31/13

real Summer we've had here in the UK for years and I'm loving it.
Also in this issue ...
I often hear judgement passed on how coaches, consultants and gurus operate.
One of the common criticisms is the perennial, 'he's busy teaching instead of doing.'
Or on the opposite end of the spectrum, 'he's for real, he actually practices what he preaches.'
As I've always been a bit of a devil's advocate girl I can see the weakness and the benefit of both of these viewpoints.
On the one hand if you're so busy 'doing' whatever it is you're doing, why would you invest time to teach it to someone else?
A good example of this would be Andy Murray. He's so busy being a champ that I'm sure the last thing on his mind is coaching or teaching others how to do what he does.
Perhaps he might make time for that when he retires.
Makes sense right? Find out why that might not be a good idea
