The Challenge - Overwhelmed? This Is What I Said To Alex.
After the usual pleasantries on our coaching call one of my favourite client told me that he's been feeling overwhelmed.
After a little bit of digging I discovered why.
Here's a little case study for you in case you're feeling the same and wondering how the heck to fix it.
Let's call my client Alex.
Not his real name as all my work with clients is confidential unless of course I'm helping them to get the word out about their business and then I shout from the social media rooftops.
So Alex is fairly new to the online space and has made some incredible progress so far.
Together we launched his 'expert' book on Amazon Kindle, followed closely by a hard copy now available all over the place.
His book hit the best-seller list in several categories and he's really blazing a trail in his niche.
All of this came on top of establishing his online platform and learning how to attract targeted subscribers and potential perfect clients, online.
Now this lovely soul is no newbie to business; he was a successful 'expert' already BUT he
hadn't the first clue how to take that online when we first started working together.
This is where I entered the picture and showed him exactly how to create his platform,
laser in on his niche and how to use social media and simple online marketing strategies
to get the word out.
So why is he overwhelmed?
It's simple.
Alex is now a super VISIBLE online brand.
Not only potential clients but also potential partners are reaching out to him as if out of the blue.
It threw him a bit because he's used to working 'the old way.'
The old way means you have very little leverage and all of your business needs to be done in person.
Alex is used to going to networking events and driving all over the country to meet with people to try to advance his business.
